Mineral waste

Private Commercial Municipality

Informations

Mineral waste is solid, inorganic materials that are mainly produced in the construction industry. These include concrete, bricks, tiles, natural stones, ceramics and road debris (asphalt). This waste is often generated during demolition work, renovations or road construction. They are characterized by the fact that they are non-flammable and are mainly composed of mineral substances.

A major environmental problem arises when mineral waste is disposed of improperly. If they get into nature, they can disfigure the landscape, and pollutants that may be present in certain building materials, such as heavy metals in old tiles or toxic substances in treated stones, can leach into the soil and groundwater.

Instructions for the disposal

Mineral waste generally does not fall under the dangerous goods classes, as it usually consists of harmless, natural materials. However, there are exceptions: if asbestos is contained in mineral waste, it is considered hazardous waste and must be disposed of separately, as asbestos dust can have serious health consequences. Therefore, the disposal of materials containing asbestos should only be carried out by professionals. Mineral waste can also be contaminated with pollutants such as tar, heavy metals or other chemicals. In such cases, they also fall under the dangerous goods classes, must be labelled accordingly and disposed of by certified waste disposal companies. It is important to observe these exceptions in order to protect the environment and health.

Remove
They are allowed to dispose of mineral waste themselves, provided that they are not hazardous substances and the quantities are manageable.
Pack
When packing, make sure that the waste is not mixed with other materials such as plastic, wood or hazardous substances. This makes it easier to recycle them later.
Transport
Smaller quantities of mineral waste can be taken directly to a recycling centre or a construction waste landfill. However, in the event of larger quantities or uncertainty about the substances, you should feel free to contact us as a waste management company. We will be happy to advise you and organise professional transport.
Dispose
It is best to take smaller quantities of mineral waste directly to a recycling center or a construction waste landfill. For larger quantities, however, you should commission us as the waste disposal company. We have the necessary expertise to ensure that mineral waste is properly disposed of.
