Responsibility

Our principles for a quality, energy and environmental policy with responsibility.

German Sustainability Code

Our self-imposed goals are based on the international goals for sustainable development, the so-called SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

The SDGs are a set of 17 global goals adopted by 194 countries under the umbrella of the United Nations in 2015 to achieve a sustainable future for all people and the planet. The SDGs are to be achieved by 2030 and are a global agenda that calls on governments, businesses and civil society around the world to work together towards a sustainable future.

The SDGs are divided into three main areas that build on each other: environmental, social and economic. The LEIPA Group is also guided by these three main areas with its own objectives and has set itself its own goals in the three sustainability dimensions of "People", "Planet" and "Performance".

Environmental, quality and energy policy

As part of our corporate due diligence and with regard to environmental, quality and energy management, and in particular to satisfy our customers, we define our environmental, quality and energy policy in our manual.

Organization / Integrated Management System

For us, market-driven entrepreneurship means the highest possible customer satisfaction. The management and organization of MAD Recycling GmbH are aligned with this goal. In order to be able to serve our customers in line with their needs, we have a market-oriented organization. This includes customer advice and service by our employees and drivers on site and in our administration, as well as fast quotation and order processing.

Customer proximity, innovation and professionalism have been the basis of our success for many years. Quality stands for the fulfilment of requirements, whereby in addition to legal and official requirements, the requirements of customers and other interested parties as well as our own demands and the environmental impact are taken into account. Customer satisfaction is an important basis for a successful entrepreneurial future and the safeguarding of the jobs of our employees.

Our business organization is based on the company's goals. It is continuously adapted to operational requirements. The present IMS manual with all associated parts serves as the written basis of the Integrated Management System. Risks are part of everything we do. Even with a planned, quality-assured approach, there is a risk of events that are not wanted. That is why risk management is part of quality management. We understand risk management as a kind of early warning system, i.e. risks are identified that have not yet led to an error, but it cannot be ruled out that it could happen in the future.

Obligation

The management commits itself and all employees to actively apply and continuously improve the defined integrated management system. We are also committed to complying with all legal requirements.  The management informs the employees about existing demands of our customers and the legislator. Employees are regularly trained to implement the company's goals through internal and external training. The management provides the necessary resources for the application of the integrated management system. It conducts regular assessments of the effectiveness of the IMS.

Representative of the top management

The management has commissioned a responsible person to introduce, maintain and continuously optimize the integrated management system on its behalf. The Commissioner is obliged to report to the management on the performance of the system and the need for improvements. With the support of the commissioners, it is intended to promote quality, energy and environmental awareness among the management, all employees and all those involved throughout the organisation. This is to be done with special attention to customer requirements.

Liability

All stipulations within the IMS manual and the listed applicable documents are binding instructions. If the specifications cannot be sensibly applied in an individual case to achieve the quality required by the customer or to protect the environment, energy and the environment, the respective supervisors or representatives decide on the individual approach in consultation with the IMB.

Energy policy

  • The following measures are implemented in the energy management system according to ISO 50001:
  • Systematic evaluation of energy consumption
  • Recording of energy flows and their regular updating
  • Planning and implementation of energy-saving measures
  • Evaluation of the results of the energy-saving measures at regular intervals
  • Continuous improvement of energy efficiency
  • In order to implement the energy policy, an energy coordinator has been appointed, who has been provided with an annual budget.
  • In order to fulfil its energy policy, MAD Recycling will continuously strive to:
  • Comply with relevant laws and regulations as well as energy-related agreements with third parties
  • Take appropriate and effective technological, organizational or behavioural change measures
  • Measure, record and verify the various energy consumption figures
  • Actively involve the workforce in the implementation of energy policy
  • Carefully assess energy-efficient alternatives in due course

Quality and environmental policy

The quality of our services in the field of paper recycling is ensured by the qualification of our employees, the quality of the systems and machines used and our factory-developed modern application technology. IT-supported communication, well-thought-out logistical processes in supply and disposal, an extensive delivery program and waste management ensure a high availability of our services. Quality and the environment are very important in all processes and processes. In doing so, we comply with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 and the Waste Management Companies Ordinance („Entsorgungsfachbetriebe-Verordnung“). The social skills, expertise and practical experience of our employees are of great importance to us. We maintain a human relationship with each other and with our market partners. Friendliness and openness are the foundations of our cooperation.

Continuous improvement

The main goal is a continuous improvement of the respective achieved level in quality, energy, environment and region. For this purpose, the company has issued corporate guidelines and the management agrees with the executives on binding quality, energy, environmental goals and concrete improvement programs. These are further specified and broken down within the departments. It is the responsibility of each employee to contribute his or her best possible share to the achievement of the objectives that affect him. The effectiveness of the management system and the achievement of the set goals are audited regularly, at least once a year, in order to initiate measures for continuous improvement.
