MAD Münchener Akten + Daten Vernichtung GmbH

Statement of Principle by the Management on Quality-, Energy- and Environmental Policy
As part of our corporate obligation to exercise diligence in regard to environmental-, quality- and energy management -- and in particular to satisfy our customers -- we have defined our environmental-, quality- and energy policies in our manual.

Organisation / Integrated Management System
For us, market-oriented entrepreneurship means ensuring the highest possible customer satisfaction. Management and organisation of the company MAD Recycling GmbH are aligned to this goal. In order to be able to serve our customers according to their needs, we maintain a market-oriented organisation. This includes customer advice and -service by our employees and drivers on site and in our administration of the company, as well as fast quotes and order processing.
Customer proximity, innovation, and professionalism have been the basis of our success for many years. Quality is represented by the fulfilment of requirements, whereby in addition to legal and official requirements, the requirements of customers and other interested parties -- as well as our own high standards and the environmental impact -- are also taken into account. Customer satisfaction is an important basis for an entrepreneurially successful future and for safeguarding the jobs of our employees.
Our company's organisation is oriented towards the company's objectives. It is continuously adapted to operational requirements. The present IMS manual with all of its sections serves as the written basis for the Integrated Management System.
Risks are part of everything we do. Even with well-planned, quality-assured procedures, there is always a danger of unwanted events. Risk management is therefore part of quality management.
By "risk management" we mean a kind of early warning system, i.e. risks are identified that have not yet led to an error, but it cannot be ruled out that it could happen in the future.

Obligation
The management commits itself, and all of the company’s employees, to actively apply and continuously improve the Integrated Management System as defined. We also undertake to comply with all legal requirements.
The management informs the employees about existing requirements of our customers and the applicable law. Proper employee qualification is regularly maintained through internal and external training courses to implement the company's goals.
The management provides the necessary means for the application of the Integrated Management System. It shall carry out regular evaluations of the effectiveness of the IMS.

Top Management Representative
The management has commissioned a person responsible for introducing, maintaining and continuously optimising the Integrated Management System on its behalf.
The Management Representative shall report to the management on the performance of the system and any need for improvement.
With the support of the Management Representative and his or her own representatives, the management shall promote the quality-, energy- and environmental awareness of all company employees, its own members, and all others involved throughout the organisation. This shall be done with special attention to customer requirements.

Binding Character
All stipulations within the IMS manual and the other applicable documents listed are binding instructions.
If the requirements in individual cases cannot be reasonably applied to achieve the quality required by the customer or to protect the environment, uphold the energy policy, and maintain standards in the surrounding area in question, the respective superiors or representatives shall decide on the individual procedure in consultation with the IMB.

Energy policy
Under the energy management system in keeping with ISO 50001, the following measures are to be implemented within the company:

  • Systematic evaluation of energy consumption
  • Recording of energy flows and regular updating of the relevant data
  • Planning and introduction of energy-saving measures
  • Evaluation of the results of the energy-saving measures at regular intervals
  • Continuous improvement of energy efficiency

In order to implement the energy policy, an Energy Coordinator has been appointed, who has been provided with an annual budget.
In order to fulfil the energy policy, MAD Recycling will continuously strive for the following:

  • Compliance with the relevant laws and regulations as well as the energy-relevant agreements made with third parties
  • Taking appropriate and effective technological, organisational and behavioural measures
  • To measure, record and verify the various energy consumption figures
  • Actively involving the workforce in the implementation of the company's energy policy
  • Careful assessment of energy-efficient alternatives at the appointed times

Quality- and Environmental Policy
The quality of our services in the field of paper recycling is ensured by the qualifications of our employees, the quality of the plants and machines used, and our plant-developed modern application technology.
EDP-supported communication, well thought-out logistical processes in supply and disposal, an extensive delivery programme, and disposal management ensure the high availability of our services. Quality and the environment are top priorities in all processes and procedures. We comply with the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001: 2015, DIN EN ISO 14001: 2015 and the Waste Management Ordinance.
We attach great importance to the social competence, specialised knowledge and practical experience of our employees. Among ourselves and with our market partners, we cultivate a sympathetic approach. Friendliness and openness are the basis of our cooperation.

Constant Improvement
The essential goal is a constant improvement of the level of achievement in quality, energy, environment and surroundings. To this end, the company has issued corporate guidelines, and has charged the management's executive representatives with the administration of binding quality-, energy- and environmental targets and concrete improvement programmes. These programmes are to be further concretised and broken down within the departments.
It is the task of each employee to contribute his or her best possible efforts to the achievement of his or her objectives.
The effectiveness of this management system and the achievement of the set targets will be audited regularly, at least once a year, in order to initiate measures for continuous improvement.
